There are Two Ways to Join the SYNC CampFire Discipleship Program
The Camp-Based Program
The most popular way of running the program. A camp joins the SYNC CampFire Network and then becomes the distributor for the different groups and campers that come throughout the summer.
This is done through 3 simple steps:
1. A camp rep (Camp Director, Program Director, etc.) registers how many weeks of camp they will host and how many campers are registered for each camp.
2. SYNC generates a unique code per week of camp and a unique ID code for each camper. These IDs can then be given to the campers with their arrival packages.
3. The camp announces the SYNC CampFire program at the last chapel and shows the campers how to access the app and put in their two codes.
The Church-Based Program
What happens if a church wants to use SYNC CampFire, but the camp they are attending isn’t a part of the CampFire Network? Answer – the church can become its own member of the CampFire Network.
This is done similarly to the way camps register:
1. A church rep (senior pastor, youth pastor, etc.) registers when they are attending camp and how many campers they will have.
2. SYNC generates a unique code for the church and a unique ID code for each camper. These IDs can then be given to the campers by their sponsor or the church rep as they leave camp.
3. The pastor, youth pastor, sponsor, etc. goes through the discipleship program with the campers as an admin in the weeks after camp.
Discipleship is truly the “make or break” factor in today’s local church environment.
One of the greatest silent killers in churches, traditional camps, Bible colleges, etc., is “discipleship is being done by someone else.” It’s time to fix that. The CampFire program is not just another devotional series designed for a camper to do alone. It is a discipleship roadmap for you and the young believers to take together.
Why is it that the average Christian in the 1800s had a better grasp of doctrine than now?
Because they were discipled, not only “devotioned”. Someone came alongside a young believers and taught them the basic truths of Scripture.
